Hope everyone is having a happy holiday!

We are having agreat time at my sisters house with her two kids and my brother's five kids. As a good aunt, I came prepared with my marshmallow gun.

Now I'm ready for a nap. Love days like this.

Not as good as the last post -- but the fact the Charro is on the guest list is hysterical to anyone who watched the show.

Maybe it's my age, or my stress level -- but I totally loved this:

In a feat of expert space juggling and vehicle maneuvering, I have managed to squeeze the mini-van (aka Volumnia) into our garage. There is a reason I don't do this every day. Anyway, now if the snow falls the predicted 12 inches, the car won't be buried in it and frozen shut.

Unfortunately, the Admiral had to stay in Norfolk tonight for his ship's Christmas party (as Captain, he couldn't very well miss). His plan was to come up tomorrow, stop at Uncle Engineer's house to test out the Wii we bought the kids for Christmas, and then come home. Sunday after Church was supposed to be St. Thomas's (early) birthday party at the swim school we go to (the actual birthday is in January, but we got a free party if we used it before the end of the year)...Now I don't know if any of that is going to happen in the two feet of predicted snowfall.

I'm hoping it's so cold the kids don't want to stay out in the snow that long and we can stay inside reading and (fingers crossed) writing.

As I mentioned last week, I am currently closed to new queries until January 15th.

However, I am still continuing to review, albeit somewhat slowly with my sprained wrist and reduced typing speed, those that were already in the queue. I've appreciated people's support and will, no doubt, continue to be thankful for their patience.

I'm seeing many of my colleagues mention that today is their last day officially at work until the New Year. Our agency is closed from December 24th until January 4th to celebrate the holidays (and probably get in some reading). In January there will be the now-annual query stats of the year, among other things.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! Last month on a flight to Pakistan, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Sunday I donated bone marrow to mrflyingfingers in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Last Monday I broke fernwithy's X-Box (-12 points). In April I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In June I helped moonette1 hide a body (-173 points). Overall, I've been nice (67 points). For Christmas I deserve a Sony Playstation 3! Sincerely, gabrielladusult

The technology may change, but so much stays the same!

Speaking of technology, got myself an early Christmas Present, an iPhone. I looked for a Live Journal app, but so far no joy. I've had a lot of fun though getting it going. I updated all my contacts from gmail, so I have everyone's email, but very few phone numbers. I also downloaded Pandora Radio and a bunch of other free apps. Anyone have a recommendation for me?

I'm so exhausted. This is basically the second night this week that I've been home. I've been so busy that I almost forgot to register in the Amazon sweepstakes. If you knew how much time I generally spend trolling Amazon, you'd know how amazing that is. And yes, I have discovered the Amazon app. Gotta love it!
